ASC Student Supercomputer Challenge (Global Finals)
Built and tuned a multi-node HPC cluster, executed benchmarks and scientific/AI workloads, and presented results to an international panel. The Wits HPC ASC25 site records Wits as a Top 25 finalist for the 2025 final round at Qinghai University in Xining, China.

Wits qualified as a Top 25 finalist for the 2025 ASC Student Supercomputer Challenge final round in Xining, China.
Work Involved
- Built and tuned Linux-based HPC systems under competition constraints.
- Ran benchmarking and scientific workloads using Slurm, MPI, and performance-tuning workflows.
- Prepared technical results and presented them in an international student supercomputing context.
